Next, pay a visit to Lingyin Temple. After lunch, you can take a short walk in the tea village and taste a cup of real Longjing Green Tea. As an important and the largest production base of Longjing Tea in Hangzhou, Meijiawu Tea Village is the best place for sightseeing, combining farmhouses and tea culture for locals, it is features Quiet, relaxing and refreshing place, full of tea plantation.
The last stop for the tour is Cheng Huang Pavilion where you can get a whole view of West Lake. Whenever you come into the city at night from the East, the first thing you can see off in the distance is this place: It's the most noticeable building in the Hangzhou skyline.

This tour took us out of Shanghai to the picturesque city of Hangzhou that lived up to expectations. On the way out of the city our guide Sharon met us at our hotel and helped us navigate the Shanghai train station. Once in Hangzhou our private car whisked us away to the West Lake, the old temple and the city god chenghuang tower where we got amazing views and even better pictures. The lunch the tour company set up was the best we have had while in China. This is a great tour and tour company. Highly recommend Hangzhou day trip from Shanghai if you have one more day free in Shanghai.

Highly recommended! Our tour guide, Nancy, was incredibly knowledgeable, enthusiastic and helpful. We had a great time exploring sites including Ling Yin temple, West Lake and the urban areas of Hangzhou as well as try delicious local food! Our guide Nancy made the trip very easy and very special for us. She went far beyond her responsibilities and even bought a present and a cake for my stepmother's birthday. We thoroughly enjoyed her. Our driver was excellent as well. He was always early and made good suggestions in heavy traffic. He was very friendly, very happy and spoke some English very funny. I'd highly recommend both of them to my friends.
We had a great time going to Hangzhou frm Shanghai with Tommy. The train ride from Shanghai to Hangzhou was a great experience. We enjoyed the delicious local lunch and seeing the tea village, westlake, and the shopping street! Tommy was very knowledgeable and accommodating to our needs. Our driver's skill were most impressive. Would recommend this trip to others!
I cannot say enough good things about this trip! The boat ride was a very relaxing escape from the city. Lunch was delicious and I got to pick exactly what I wanted from a large selection of choices. We went as a group of 6 work colleagues and had a fantastic time from pick-up to drop-off at our hotel in Shanghai. Everything was very well organized (Round way train tickets, tour guide, lunch, transfer in the city) and Tommy managed to avoid the big crowds, affording us a very relaxed time. We can only recommend!
We booked our trip to Hangzhou through Hangzhou Private Tour based on the online reviews. They picked us up in Shanghi and took us to the high speed train. Then Nancy met us at the train station with our driver in Hangzhou. The day was FANTASTIC and we would give Nancy 10 stars if it were an option. She is extremely knowledgeable and spent the day filling us with so much knowledge. We started with a tour and boat ride of the West Lake. Then we visited the Lingyin Temple which was beyond spectacular. Nancy educated us the entire time we visited the sites at the temple. When I didn’t think it could be any better...we went to a tea plantation enjoyed a proper green tea ceremony. I could go on and on. It was so special the way Fiona taught us how to pick, dry, store and experience green tea. My children are 8 and 10. We all had a fantastic day. The only downside...we only booked one day in the Hangzhou area. You should really spend two days with Nancy to see all of the highlights of this vibrant region. One day is doable but you will regret not spending two days .
My wife, 12 year old daughter and I had such an interesting and fun day exploring Hangzhou from Shanghai by the high-speed train with our guide Boonie. The day started and ended very easy with a hotel pick up and drop off. The temples and mountain scenery were really beautiful to explore, lunch at the tea farm was very delicious, Probably one of our favorite meals actually. We also really enjoyed walking around the lake and found it to be very relaxing and scenic. We really appreciated also spending the day learning about the area and China in general from our interesting and fun guide Bonnie. We highly recommend this tour!
I had been to Shanghai twice.But this time I decided to a day trip visit to Hangzhou from Shanghai by train.

A bullet train ride and a tour guide to Lingyin temple, with tea garden and a good Lunch (Vegetarian Chinese on request) were
absolutely fine. A visit to west lake was stunning.
We totally enjoyed the tour and it was paced out well.
We would highly recommend her and would take another tour with her again if the opportunity arises.

My friend and I booked a day trip to Hangzhou from Shanghai by Bullet train (First class seats). It was so much fun on the fast train as it was my first time on the bullet train. The seats are very comfortable and spacious. Our tour guide Bonnie was fantastic. She was so informative and very friendly. We went to one of the most beautiful Buddhist temple " Linying Temple" so peaceful and full of nature. The local lunch was great made by the locals at the green tea farm. The West Lake was very beautiful and the full view of the city and the westlake on the top of the city gof temple was FANTASTIC. It felt so good to be there. We loved everything about this trip and would highly recommend it.
