Day 1: Arrive in Beijing

Upon on your arrival, our guide will meet you at Beijing Airport with a welcome signage "China Private Tour". And then, drive you to your hotel in Beijing downtown. The rest day is free on your own to explore the city or recover the jetlag.

In the morning, our guide will meet you at your hotel lobby at appointed time. The first place for Beijing is Tiananmen Square, Tiananmen Square is the geographical center of Beijing City. It is the largest city square in the world, occupying an area of 440,000 square meters (about 109 acres), and able to accommodate 1,000,000 people at one time.

After sightseeing, walk into the Tiananmen you will meet the one of the world’s 5 most important palaces – Forbidden City. The Forbidden City, also named the Palace Museum, shares the honor of being one of five world-famous palaces with the Palace of Versailles in France, Buckingham Palace in England, the White House in the U.S. and the Kremlin in Russia.

In the afternoon, you will head to visit Summer Palace, it is a vast ensemble of lakes, gardens and palaces in Beijing, China. It serves as a popular tourist destination and recreational park. Mainly dominated by Longevity Hill and Kunming Lake, it covers an expanse of 2.9 square kilometres (1.1 sq mi), three-quarters of which is water.  After 1949, the Summer Palace briefly housed the Central Party School of the Communist Party of China. Many of Mao Zedong's friends and key figures in the Communist Party, such as Liu Yazi and Jiang Qing, also lived there. Since 1953, many major restoration and renovation works have been done on the Summer Palace, which is now open to the public as a tourist attraction and park.

Your last destination is Temple of Heaven, which is a royal sacred site where prayers for good harvests, prosperity and harmonious life are offered.It is one of landmarks of Beijing. The temple was constructed in 1420 during the Ming Dynasty (1368-1644), and was enlarged during the Qing Dynasty (1644-1911). It is the grandest cult architecture complex in the world and a masterpiece of the Chinese people created in ancient times.

Before drive you back to your hotel, you will be arrange at the local famous Peking Roast Duck restaurant, taste the most famous duck in Beijing and try some local cuisine for dinner. Roast duck — or Peking Duck, as it's often known — has been served in Beijing for around 600 years, according to Liu. First served by palace chefs during the Ming dynasty, it has royal pedigree.

Day 3 Beijing

In the morning, our guide will meet you at your hotel lobby and continue your Beijing tour.

Firstly, drive about 70km (1.5 h) to witness one of the Seven Wonders of the World – Great Wall. The less-crowded Mutianyu. "If you haven't climbed the Great Wall, you haven't seen China." Many of your friends who visited China before might have told you this. It is indeed an experience of life. As one of the best-preserved parts of the Great Wall, Mutianyu section of Great Wall used to serve as the northern barrier defending the capital and the imperial tombs. It's known for its beautiful surroundings - dense woods and rich pastures changing colors with the seasons of a year. Good sightseeing with nature, take photos from different places and angles so you’ll have plenty of memories you can share with your friends when going back home.

Your lunch is offered near the Great Wall in a local restaurant.

After lunch, you will pay a visit for Ming Tombs, it is a main attractions arranged for you. The Ming Tombs lie in Changping County, about 50 kilometers (31 miles) northwest from the urban area of Beijing. It is actually a tomb cluster of the Ming Dynasty (1368-1644), including thirteen emperor's mausoleums, seven tombs for concubines and one grave for eunuchs. It was listed in the World Heritage List in 2003. Each emperor's tomb was constructed at the foot of a separate small hill, but they all share a main road called the Sacred Way.

You will pay a visit for the Olympic Sites on the way back to your hotel. You can take some photos from outside,Both designed as the main stadiums of 2008 Beijing Olympic Games, they now become the popular landmarks of Beijing.

Day 4 Beijing

In the morning, our guide will pick you up from your hotel and take you to visit Nanluoguxiang Hutong, it's one of the best preserved historical areas in downtown Beijing, is famous for its hutong and siheyuan courtyards. Recently the popularity of Nanluoguxiang has increased noticeably with tourist numbers on the rise after 2008 Olympic Games. You will do a short walking along the authentic Beijing Hutong. will give you a deep impression of the local residents’ live.

Then transfer to Beijing airport for your flight to Xian. Once you arrive, our Xian local guide will meet you at the exit of airport with a welcome sign "China Private Tour".

Day 5 Xian

In the morning, our guide will meet you at the pointed time. Today, you will visit the highlights of Xi'an city.

Firstly, drive you to Terra-cotta Warriors and Horses Museum, it known as “the eighth Wonders of the world”, the museum shows a surprisingly high level in sculpture which is listed as the most significant discovery of the 20th century. Up to now, there has discovered a total of 179 accompanying burial pits of different connotations and various shapes in Qinshihuang’s Mausoleum area. The discovery of these pits has provided all important significance in the research of the burial system of the Qinshihuang’s Mausoleum, the characteristics structures and characteristics of the burial pits. However, what makes people feel amazing is that of all the burial pits, none has been found survived from being burnt down.

Your lunch is arranged at local restaurant with tasting local cuisine. Such as Liangpi, it is made from rice, this cold noodle dish is a summer favourite through Shaanxi province as well as other places around China.

After lunch, drive you back to the Xian downtown to visit the Ancient City Wall. This wall represents one of the oldest and best preserved Chinese city walls, as well being one of the largest ancient military defensive systems in the world. Now it is 12 meters tall, 12-14 meters wide over 14 kilometers in length with a deep moat surrounding it. You can walk, or even cycle on the wall. Its south gate is the largest with a suspension bridge. Most of the tourists choose the south gate for sightseeing.

In the afternoon, keep going to the Big Wild Goose Pagoda, also named Giant Wild Goose Pagoda. It is a Buddhist pagoda located in southern Xi'and became the symbol of the old-line Xi'an. It was built in 652 during the Tang dynasty and originally had five stories. The structure was rebuilt in 704 during the reign of Empress Wu Zetian, and its exterior brick facade was renovated during the Ming dynasty. The Big Wild Goose Pagoda attracts numerous visitors for its fame in the Buddhist religion and its simple but appealing style of construction. It is rated as a National Key Cultural Relic Preserve. One of the pagoda's many functions was to hold sutras and figurines of the Buddha that were brought to China from India by the Buddhist translator and traveler Xuanzang.

Day 6 Xian-Jiuzhaigou

In the morning, our guide and driver meet you at your hotel lobby at appointed time. Transfer to Xian airport for your flight to Jiuzhaigou, Huanglong Airport. Upon arrival, our local guide will meet you at the exit of airport with a welcome sign "China Private Tour" and take you for a lunch.

In the afternoon, drive you to visit Huanglong National Park, it is one of the sites with amazing views that became the pride of China. According to the website Atlas of Wonders, Huanglong is located between Sichuan, mountain Minshan, and Chengdu.

The natural beauty of Huanglong National Park includes terraced pool of warm water with a yellow, green, blue, and brown. Reported by Amusing Planet, the pools are composed of the travertine terraces of precipitated calcium carbonate derived from hot springs in the mountains.

Day 7 Jiuzhaigou

In the morning, our guide will pick you up from your hotel and drive you to visit most famous attraction in Jiuzhaigou City-Jiuzhaigou Valley

You will have a full day to explore the charming valley. Firstly, take a tourist shuttle bus from Lantian Station to the Long Lake, then walk around and enjoy the Long lake & the Five-colour Pool. After that, take a shuttle bus from Five-colour Pool to Nuorilang Waterfall.

Lunch is arranged at Nuorilang restaurant in the park. You can also choose to have a picnic lunch at stopover site.

In the afternoon, continue your hiking tour in the afternoon and feel relaxed without pushing at all. Walk to the Nuorilang Waterfall  for a visit before taking a shuttle bus from Nuorilang to Shuzheng Lake, visit the Rhino Lake, Tiger Lake, Shuzheng Fall and Princess Lake along the way in the bus . Then walk around and enjoy the Shuzheng Lake, the Shuzheng Valley, Take a shuttle bus  From Shuzheng Lake to Shuanglong Lake for a visit to the Shuanglong Waterfall.

Day 8 Jiuzhaigou-Chengdu

Free on your own to explore the city until our driver pick you up from your hotel and transfer to airport to catch your flight to Chengdu. Once arrival, our guide will wait for you at the exit of airport with sign "China Private Tour", you will be taken back to your hotel for checking in.

After dinner, you will go for a Sichuan local Opera, it is an important part of Chengdu culture. Acts or stunts like “face changing??”, “fire spitting??” and “Rolling Light??”have developed a school of its own. Face Changing is famous even overseas for its mysterious techniques.The libretto of Sichuan Opera is humorous and flushed with vivid expressions and local characteristics.

Day 9 Chengdu

In the morning, our guide will meet you at your hotel lobby. Today, you will visit Chengdu Research Base of Giant Breeding, Chengdu is the hometown of giant pandas, where you will catch pandas' feeding time. They are at their most active, both Adults and Babies. There's a wealth of information and a panda museum in this 230-hectare park 10 km (6 miles) north of Chengdu. It takes about 2.5 hours to visit this site.

You will have lunch after Panda Base in a local Chinese reastaurant to eat authentic Sichuan Cuisine.

After lunch, you will visit Wenshu Temple. Wenshu Monastery is the best-preserved Buddhist temple in Chengdu, serving as the home of Buddhist Association of Sichuan Province now.Wenshu Temple is famous for its exquisite gardens and halls.

Next, you will visit Jinli Ancient Street, one of the most well known and trafficked tourist areas in Chengdu, Jinli is an “ancient” pedestrian street housing dozens of food and gift vendors along an ever-expanding network of alleys.Jinli is particularly famous for its traditional Sichuanese snacks. There is an area dedicated just to snacks, where you will see dozens of vendors preparing and displaying an impressive variety of noodles and finger food to snack on. Shadow puppet performance and other traditional Chinese arts also make an appearance, and this tends to be an excellent places to procure local gifts.

Day 10 Chengdu-Leshan-Chongqing

Our guide pick you up from your hotel, take an early drive (2.5 hours on the way) from Chengdu to Leshan. 

Upon arrivel, You will watch the wonder of sleeping Buddha, which explained the saying of ‘ Buddha is the hill and the hill is a Buddha ‘. And then we will walk up and down along the zigzagging mountain trails along the Giant Buddha, from it's head to shoulder, and from leg to foot. In front of the Buddha is the good view of the joint of Minjiang River, Dadu River and Qingyi River .

In the afternoon,  drive you to the train station in Leshan, you will take the bullet train to Chongqing. Upon arrival, our Chongqing local guide will pick you up at the exit of airport with a signal "China Private Tour" and take you to board Yangtze Cruise Ship.

Day 11 Yangtze River Cruise

As the largest water system in China, Yangtze River is historically, economically and culturally important to the country. It has numerous tributaries including Min River, Han River, Jialing River, Gan River, and Huangpu River.

You will have an excursion to Fengdu, visiting either the "Ghost City" known for its statues of ghosts and devils on Mingshan Hill, or the new relocation village, built for families who have moved as a result of the Yantgze's rising waters brought by the Three Gorgres Dam.

Optional Excursion to Shibaozhai (river conditions permitting), visiting the impressive 12-story pagoda. Known as "The pearl of the Yangtze", it is one of the gems of Chinese architecture. The 18th Century red wooden temple is an architectural delight full of Legends and beautiful stories. Climbing on the top, you can have a panoramic view of the Yangtze River. Inside the pavilion, there are steles and inscriptions of past dynasties of each floor. Visitors can also admire the spectacular Yangtze River from the windows of each floor.

Day 12 Yangtze River Cruise

Continue your voyage on Yangtze River through hidden reefs and tumbling rapids.Take an excursion through the Daning River Small Gorges, which are narrower than the Three Gorges but also impressive. Enter Wu Gorge known for its forest-covered mountains and cliffs so sheer that the sun barely penetrates the precipices.Wu Gorge is famous for its zigzags, weird peaks, rising mists and beautiful sights.

Then sail through Qutang Gorge, the shortest, narrowest and most dramatic gorge. The combination of narrow canyons among high mountains with several switchbacks in only 8 kilometres creates spectacular vistas, and the Qutang Gorge is often considered the most beautiful of all the Three Gorges. Optional excursion to White Emperor City (river conditions permitting), an ancient city overlooking the western end of Qutang Gorge. Day 13 Yangtze River-Fly to Shanghai

In the afternoon, you will have a chance to visit the Yichang Museum if time permits. There are three main exhibition halls in the museum with a total area of 920 square meters displaying altogether 617 pieces of relics, 230 photos and drawings and 100 pieces of text. Then the cruise finish and we will drive you to Yichang airport for the flight to Shanghai. You can have a comfortable sleep in a cosy hotel of Shanghai.

Day 14 Shanghai

After breakfast, you will cross Huangpu River and visit The Bund, which is teemed with the futuristic, avant-garde buildings - Oriental Pearl Tower, Jin Mao Building, Bank of China Tower. Completed in 1995 to a highly innovative design, Shanghai Oriental Pearl TV Tower has become a symbol of excellence in architecture and is a favorite sight for tourists in Shanghai. At 468 meters, it is the third tallest TV and radio tower in the World. On the TV Tower, to have a bird's eye view of Shanghai City.

Later you will be taken to visit the 400-year-old Yuyuan Garden – the representative traditional Chinese garden in Shanghai. Each pavilion, hall, stone and stream in the garden is expressing the quintessence of South China landscape design from the Ming and Qing Dynasty. Over forty spots, divided by dragon walls, wound corridors and beautiful flowers, form a unique picture featuring "one step, one beauty; every step, every beauty". Out from Yuyuan Garden, move to Yuyuan Bazaar to explore how elaborate and cute the traditional Chinese handicrafts and art works are, and savor some local flavor snacks here.

Then continue to Jade Buddha Temple to admire the largest jade Buddha in the world and exquisite religious artifacts. The essence of the temple is the two jade Buddhist statues brought back from Burma by the Monk Huigen for Putuo Mountain during the Qing Dynasty.

Day 15 Shanghai-Huangshan

  • Today's Activities: Shanghai to Huangshan by Bullet train, Tunxi Old Street

In the morning, our guide will pick you up from your hotel and transfer you to Shanghai train station to Huangshan, it takes around 4 hours. Upon on your arrival, our Huangshan local guide will meet you at the station and take you to have lunch, lunch is arranged at local restaurant with authentic Huangshan food.

After lunch, you will visit the Tunxi Ancient Street, which  was built in Ming and Qing Dynasties. The colorful bazaars of local features are displayed in front of your eyes. You will find antique shops, medicine shops, tea houses, restaurants and galleries in the street.

Day 16 Huangshan

In the morning,check out from your hotel and drive you to visit Hongcun Ancient Village, the ancient village in Chinese paintings, is best example of typical Anhui-style architecture. Hongcun is the China you think of when you think of ancient China. Many of the buildings in Hongcun can date back to the Song Dynasty and is regarded as the best example of typical Anhui-style architecture. Called “the ancient village in Chinese paintings”, Hongcun is so quiet, peaceful and beautiful which was listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2000, together with Xidi.

Lunch will be arranged at a good restaurant in Hongcun Village.

In the afternoon, drive about 1 hour to foothill of Mt.Huangshan, where you take Yungu cable car to the top of Mt.Huangshan.

Along the uphill way, you will see the Beginning-to-Believe Peak,  The Lion Peak, Brush Pen Peak, A Monkey Gaping at the sea and other attractions, enjoy the fantastic sunset on Cloud Dispelling Pavilion. Upon reaching the top, you are greeted with a breathtaking view of Huangshan Mountain. This is when you truly discover why it is known as the "the loveliest mountain of China."

Day 17 Huangshan-Hangzhou

  • Today's Activities: Huangshan to Hangzhou by Bullet train, Enjoy Huangshan Sunrise, Take train to Hangzhou

If weather permits, get up early (around 5am- 6am) to enjoy the magnificent sunrise view. The best place for watching sunrise is from Refreshing Terrance, it is also closest spot from your hotel. In good-weather days, you can see clearly the golden light of the sun piercing the mists, and rocky peaks rising above the frothy, ever-changing sea of white clouds. After the sunrise, get back to your hotel for breakfast.

After breakfast, continue on your wonderful sightseeing on the Yellow Mountain to see the famous Dawn Pavilion, Stone Monkey Watching the Sea on the Lion Peak (1690m). Then walk along the wood path to the cable station to take a cable car to exit the mountain. Your driver is ready at the mountain foot to transfer you back to Huangshan City for lunch.

After lunch, you will be transferred to Huangshan train station for the afternoon train to Hangzhou. Upon your arrival in Hangzhou, our guide will pick you up from station and take you to have dinner before hotel check-in.

Day 18 Hangzhou

In the morning, our Hangzhou guide will meet you at your hotel lobby. Firstly, taking a boat sailing on the picturesque West Lake. This is an enjoyable and relaxing way to appreciate the beautiful scenery with its islands, causeways, temples, pagodas and ornamental planting. It is not surprised that you’ll become a part of this traditional Chinese painting. It is the symbol of Hangzhou which lies on its banks and is a place of tranquility.

Next, walk around Huagang Park, which is one of top ten views. Fish watching tour at the flower pond, this area now has been made into a 22 hectare (54 acre) park with many varieties of trees and flowers, featuring a peony garden which blooms in April and a goldfish pond which is the famous site for fish watching

Afterwards, you will pay a visit for the biggest and oldest Buddhist Temple in Southern Part of China-Lingyin Temple. Lingyin temple & Fei Lai feng, one of the top ten most famous ancient Buddhist monasteries in China, and contains numerous pagodas and Buddhist grottoes. It is really a tourist attraction that can offer you appealing places of historic interest, cultural relics as well as agreeable natural scenery with woods, flowers, springs, etc.

Your lunch is arranged at a Local Tea Farmer's Tea House. We can organize tea farmers teach you how to prepare and cook local delicacies if you are interested in it. You can learn how to cook Beger's Chicken, Westlake carp fish in vinegar source (Do not be scared, no bones!!! Aha), Lotus root, bamboo shoot...and many other tasty vegetables. If you don’t want to cook, just enjoy the local delicacies.

In the afternoon, drive you to enjoy the view of Tea Plantation and learn the local Tea Culture. Longjing Green Tea plantation & village (Meijiawu), which is the origin place for the most famous green tea - Longjing in china with beautiful natural scenery (There are many tea houses in the village, and you will have a chance to taste/try the local tea)

The last place for is Qinghefang Old Street. It is a good place to experience the life of Old Hangzhou, because it is the epitome of historic Hangzhou. A great place for shopping, eating, and sightseeing. You can see the well-preserved old buildings, explore the interesting boutique stores, and choose your favourite souvenirs

After dinner, go for enjoy the famous Impression West Lake Show. It is one of most popular night show in China, it takes around 50 minutes to show you some Hangzhou local culture and folktale...You will be taken back to your hotel when you finished the show.

Day 19 Hangzhou-Guilin

  • Today's Activities: Hangzhou to Guilin by Flight, Reed Flute Cave, Elephant Trunk Hill

Pick up from your hotel at pointed time and transfer to Hangzhou Xiaoshan International airport for the morning fligt to Guilin. Upon your arrival, our Guilin local guide will meet you at the exit of the airport with welcome sign "China Private Tour". 

You will be taken to Guilin downtown for a lunch, it is arranged at a local restaurant to taste Guilin food.

After lunch, you will visit Reed Flute Cave. It is a natural limestone cave in Guilin, Guangxi Province of China and has been one of the most interesting attractions for over 1200 years in Guilin. It is also known as "the Palace of Natural Arts".The place is called Reed Flute Cave because of the abundance of reed plants present outside the cave. The reeds are used by the locals to make flutes.

Then, drive you to Elephant Trunk Hill (Xiangbishan), it is regarded as the symbol of Guilin. The name was chosen because the hill looks like a giant elephant dipping its trunk into the river. The green water of Li River in front of it and the clear spring at the foot make Elephant Trunk Hill one of the most famous hills in Guilin City. The Elephant Hill has several features: - Water Moon Cave (Shuiyue dong), Elephant's Eye Stone, and Pagoda for Puxian and Yunfeng Temple.

Day 20 Guilin-Longshen-Guilin

Pick up from your hotel in the morning, drive you to visit Longji Rice Terrace. It takes around 2 hours from Guilin downtown. With trekking for a while, we could see the stunning Longji Terraces. More than 700 years, the brave and smart local residents developed and built the paddies into hillsides surrounding their villages. With such a long history, the area is still being used for growing premium quality rice by Yao and Zhuang villagers. The rice terraces are built into the hillsides and look like great steps cut into the slopes as they wind around the mountainsides, which becomes a great natural view for tourists from all over the world.

Day 21 Guilin-Yangshuo-Guilin

Today, you will take a cruise along the Li River to enjoy the charming view and explore Yangshuo City. 

In the morning, you will take a boat cruise from Guilin to Yangshuo (5 hours). And you will have a lunch on the boat. From Guilin to Yangshuo, the prominent landforms are karst peak clusters. The Li River flows around these mountains to form valleys. The scenery is the best in Caoping, Yangdi and Xingping. There are beautiful scenes of Nine Horses Fresco Hill, Yellow Cloth Reflection, and Half Side Ferry. The Li River landscape's appearance varies at different times of the year, from different viewpoints, and during different climates.

After disembarkation, we will drive you to see the picturesque countryside of Yangshuo-West Street, it is the oldest street in Yangshuo with a history of more than 1,400 years.
