-BeiJing Hangzhou Grand Canal Museum: Although its not quite the tourist hotspot that West Lake has become, the Grand Canal is perhaps even more well-known throughout the world. Beijing-Hangzhou Grand Canal was opened partially in the period of Spring and Autumn as well as the Warring Periods, and thoroughly connected between the south and north in the period ranging from Sui Dynasty to Yuan Dynasty. The total length is 1,794 kilometers. It is the oldest canal around the world and still plays the role of waterway as well. In order to explore the past and present of the canal, visit the Grand Canal Museum in Canal Culture Square. This museum features exhibits on the various periods of the canals development, items from daily life along the canal, notable people and features, and Hangzhous recent renovation efforts. Hangzhou has done more to restore their section of the canal than any other city. The layout of the museum is relatively attractive, although cheesy dioramas can be found throughout. Additionally, the first and last sections have some decent English explanations, but a few more English captions would greatly increase a visitors interest in their collection. Statues of people, models, and piles of old papers dont exactly explain themselves

Gongchenqiao() or Gongchen Ancient Bridge: "Gong" means make an obeisance by cupping one hand in the other before one's chest. "Chen" means the place where the emperor stay. "Qiao" means bridge. Gongchenqiao is the terminal of the Grand canal at the south in Hangzhou. The emperor came to Hangzhou by boat through the Grand Canal and the bridge just like meaningful figure to welcome the emperor. This is how the bridge got its name. The bridge was first built in 1631 AD with a total length of 92 meters. Gongchen Ancient Bridge is the landmark of gongchenqiao Ancient Culture Street on the riverfront of Beijing-Hangzhou Grand Canal.

China Umbrella Museum: China Umbrella Museum is a newly-established themed museum with umbrellas at Gongchenqiao Ancient Culture area in Hangzhou. Because of the misty drizzle at the southern part of china, hangzhou produces special umbrella culture at taste, poetry, emblematizing. And the umbrella culture becomes partially one of the Hangzhou culture that can't seperate.

China Museum of Knife, Scissors and Sword Museum : Stone knives and swords were used in prehistoric times. Bronze daggers date back to the Western Zhou Period (1046-771 BC). The museum exhibits Chinese swords from the Stone Age to modern times, as well as swords from other countries. Moving on to scissors, a video shows how workers forge and polish scissors. They are the workers from Zhang Xiao Quan Scissors Co in Hangzhou. Models reproduce every step of the scissor-making process. It also shows ancient scissors from the Han Dynasty made from a single piece of iron shaped like the number "8." Another section shows all kinds of knives used for harvesting, butchering, cooking, surgery and other uses.
