Itinerary Hights:
Shanghai is the largest city in China. It has been described as the "showpiece" of the booming economy of mainland China, renowned for its "Lujiazui" skyline, museums and historic buildings, such as those along the Bund, the City God Temple and the Yu Garden. Beijing is the capital of China, there are the most-visited portitions of the Great Wall of China, which witnesses visitors the world over and Beijing serves as a good headquarters for those who to gaze upon one of mankind's more memorable and lasting structures.


Day 1. Arrive Beijing

  Welcome to Beijing! Our local tour guide will pick you up at the exit of the airport and send you to the hotel immediately. The rest of the day is yours to relax and recover from your jet lag.


Day 2. Beijing B, L

  Today your memorable tour starts! This morning you will visit the exquisite Summer Palace which is the largest existing imperial garden with a graceful landscape and magnificent constructions. You will have a chance to take a boat cruise around the royal park.

After lunch at a local Chinese restaruant, take you to the grand Tiananmen Square, the biggest urban city square in the world. Many constructions of great historical importance have been built on and around it. From there you will enter the Imperial Palace, also known as the Forbidden City to explore its fascinating halls and pavilions. Here, you will not only learn how the emperor handled political affairs and lived their lives, but also appreciate numerous ancient art treasures.

Then move on to Back Lakes ( Shichahai Area ), also named Houhai, which is located in the center of Beijing. It is linked with Beihai, and relatively distant from Jingshan and Summer Palace. It is the marvelous place that with water and be able to view mountains, weeping willows whisk coast idle land, residents around the palace and former residence are required to elaborate the history of Beijing City and the endless charm. There are a lot of Hutongs surrounding Houhai area, you can have a leisure stroll by walk or renting a rick shaw.

At night, you could try Beijing Roast Duck for dinner, which is a most famous dish there.

Day 3. Beijing B, L

Today's Activities: Mutianyu Great Wall, Dingling Tomb, Nanluoguxiang

  After breakfast, you will visit the World Heritage site Great Wall (Mutianyu section, round-trip cable car included). You can wear a pair of comfortable shoes as you need to climb steps to get on the wall.

Having lunch at a local Chinese restaruant, continue your tour with Dingling Tomb, which is only the third largest tomb after Chang Ling and Yong Ling. Its exquisite decorations, however, enormously surpass the other two. Most of the structure above the ground has disappeared except the Soul Tower. It is a magnificent building wholly made of stone and bricks, which may explains why it survived the centuries.

Continue your tour to Nanluoguxiang. The hutong has a history of over 700 years dating back to Yuan Dynasty in 13th and 14th century. Running from north to south, this lane is about 800 meters long with 16 hutongs - 8 hutongs on each side of the lane. The lane is now famous for the cafes, bars, clothing and handcraft shops that line its hutong laneways as well as its traditional hutong and courtyards (siheyuan).

At night, you could appreciate the Chinese Kung Fu Show or Peking Opera.

Day 4. Beijing - Shanghai B, L

n the mornig, visit the Temple of Heaven where you can see the local people do morning exercise. The Temple of Heaven, where the emperors worshipped the heavens in hopes of good harvests. As the dwelling of the God of Heaven, it covers an area even larger than the dwelling of the emperor, Forbidden City.

Then drive you to the Xiushui Street, is one of the most popular destinations to overseas tourists after the Great Wall and the Forbidden City of Beijing; it is very close to Central Business District (Chaoyang district), adjacent to hundreds of embassies and consulates, hundreds of foreign affair hotels and office buildings.

After lunch at a local restaruant, send you to the train station to take the high-speed train to Shanghai. Our local guide will pick you up at the exit of the train station and drive you to your hotel immediately.

And you could have a rest or go to Shanghai Xintiandi at night. The nightlife of Shanghai is very colorful with a western style with many special stores.

Day 5  Shanghai B, L

 TAfter breakfast, you will cross Huangpu River and visit famous Bund area, which is teemed


with the futuristic, avant-garde buildings - Oriental Pearl Tower, Jin Mao Building, Bank of China Tower. Completed in 1995 to a highly innovative design, Shanghai Oriental Pearl TV Tower has become a symbol of excellence in architecture and is a favourite sight for tourists in Shanghai. At 468 meters, it is the third tallest TV and radio tower in the World. On the TV Tower, to have a bird's eye view of Shanghai City.

Later you will be taken to visit the 400-year-old Yu Garden C the representative traditional Chinese garden in Shanghai. Each pavilion, hall, stone and stream in the garden is expressing the quintessence of South China landscape design from the Ming and Qing Dynasty. Over forty spots, divided by dragon walls, wound corridors and beautiful flowers, form a unique picture featuring "one step, one beauty; every step, every beauty". Out from Yuyuan Garden, move to Yuyuan Bazaar to explore how elaborate and cute the traditional Chinese handicrafts and art works are, and savor some local flavor snacks here.

Followed a trip to a silk factory to see how silk is produced from the cocoons of silk worms, and turned into the beautiful fabric we all know and love.Then continue to Jade Buddha Temple to admire the largest jade Buddha in the world and exquisite religious artifacts. The essence of the temple is the two jade Buddhist statues brought back from Burma by the Monk Huigen for Putuo Mountain during the Qing Dynasty.

  In the morning, you will visit the hidden gem, Shikumen Museum, which is a traditional Shangha architectural style combining Western and Chinese elements that first appeared in the 1860s. At the height of their popularity, there were 9000 shikumen-style buildings in Shanghai, comprising 60% of the total housing stock of the city, but today the proportion is much lower as most Shanghainese live in large apartment buildings. Shikumen is classified as one type of lilong residences, sometimes translated as "lane houses" in English.

After lunch at a local restaruant, you will be escorted to the airport and you can fly back home. Have a pleasant trip!
